Bedtime Stories to Read Aloud
A bedtime story with your child's name in it, read out loud.
com.ibrahimtxy.masal · Parenting
Each tale is put together on this phone around your child's name and read out by the phone's own text-to-speech voice.
Stories are generated, so wording varies and can occasionally be odd — a grown-up should read or listen first. The app is for bedtime entertainment; it is not educational assessment and gives no advice about a child's development.
What it does
- Any name with any of 6 themes; each new tale is a text not already in your library
- The hero can be a child, a girl or a boy; short, standard or long tales, suggested by age group
- A profile for each child (up to 8): favourite themes, story language and the hero's look
- Tales and read-aloud in English, Turkish, German or Spanish
- Each tale gets its own moving picture in your child's chosen look (no photo); tap a friend to hear its name
- Three story games under each tale: put it in order, missing word, picture and word
- Badges for tales, classics and games; none come from ads
- An optional closing line about the theme's value, such as sharing
- 32 classic tales (Grimm, Aesop, Walter Crane) with their original public-domain pictures, in four languages
- Words light up as they are read; speed 0.6x to 1.5x; larger text; paper, sepia or night background
- Sleep timer (end of the tale or 5 to 60 min), Lights off and a bedtime reminder; reading goes on with the screen off
- Favourites, your own shelves, play-all, bookmarks and notes
- Open your own TXT, EPUB or HTML book and have it read aloud
- Save a tale or a classic as a PDF, or print it
- The name never leaves the phone, and it is checked for unsuitable words first
How you set it up
Type a first name or tap a child's profile, pick a theme and a story language, and listen. Keep the tale to play again, or ask for the next one.
Who it is for
Parents of three to eight year olds who have run out of new stories.
What it does not do
- It gives no advice about a child's development or sleep.
- It asks for no account. No sign-up, no password.
- The developer collects no personal data and adds no analytics or crash reporting. In the free version the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects IP address, app interactions, diagnostics and device IDs (see Data safety).
- The free tier shows Google AdMob ads: a bottom banner, rewarded ads you start yourself and an “Ad”-labelled card inside the list; no full-screen ads between pages or on launch. Paid members see no ads and no ad request is made.

Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | So the ad library can see the connection state. Your entries do not use the network. |
INTERNET | For ads ONLY. Your entries never leave the device and the app has no server of its own. |
POST_NOTIFICATIONS | To remind you about the dates and reminders you set yourself. |
READ_BASIC_PHONE_STATE | So the ads library can tell Wi-Fi from mobile data. It grants no access to your phone number, IMEI or call log; the app does not declare it, the ads library adds it. |
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED | So your reminders keep working after the phone restarts. |
VIBRATE | To vibrate when a notification arrives. |
WAKE_LOCK | So the phone does not fall asleep in the middle of a check. The app does not ask for this itself; the background work library (Android Jetpack WorkManager) adds it. |
BILLING | So you can buy a paid membership through Google Play. The app does not declare this permission itself; the Google Play Billing library adds it. Your payment details (card, address, invoice) never reach the app and are never seen or stored by it — Google Play takes the payment. All the app learns is whether your membership is active. |
AD_ID | Ads in the free tier are served by Google AdMob, which may read the device advertising ID (AAID). The app does not declare this permission itself; the ads library adds it. Paid members make no ad request at all. You can reset or delete the ID in Settings › Google › Ads. |

This app reads NO outside data: tales and classics come with the app, pictures are drawn on the phone and a book is read only from the file you pick. Your library stays on your phone.
