CV Tailor: Resume Job Match
Paste the job ad; the CV lines that match it move to the top.
com.ibrahimtxy.cvuyarla · Productivity
Tailoring a CV to each job ad by hand takes an evening per application. This app does the mechanical part: it finds the words the ad weighs most and moves the CV lines that carry them to the top of their section. Tailoring never adds a word you did not write and never removes one.
The match score is this app's OWN estimate, not a score from any employer or applicant tracking system, and it does not predict an interview. Never let it state a qualification you do not have: a CV is your declaration and you are responsible for it.
What it does
- Import your CV from a PDF, read on your phone (needs Android 12 or newer), or paste it as text; paste the job ad or read it from a screenshot, on your phone
- Or build it with a form: type your details once, add sections and move them up or down, and add a photo only if you want one; templates for a resume, a portfolio and a marriage biodata
- Get a version reordered for that specific ad — nothing added, nothing deleted
- Review and edit the tailored version before you use it; the original is kept and can be restored
- A match score computed on your phone — our own estimate, not an employer's score
- It names the words the ad uses that your CV does not
- A completeness count of nine usual CV parts, and a bullet check that marks weak openers, generic phrases and lines with no number — it never rewrites them
- A writing guide: tips, common mistakes and answers to common questions
- Keep several CVs and several applications side by side
- Track each application: applied, interview, offer, rejected or withdrawn; filter by status
- Your CV, its PDF and the job ad are not uploaded: they leave the phone only if you share them; no application software is contacted
- Four PDF designs (Classic, Modern, Compact, Serif) with your color, font and text size and a live preview while you edit, all one column of real text an ATS can read
- Save as PDF or Word, print, or share the file or the text with the app you pick
- Write your own cover letter per application and save it as a PDF in the same design; the app adds no word
- Start from an invented sample CV, marked as a sample until you replace its lines
- Translate a copy of your CV into 20 languages on your phone, with Arabic, Persian, Hebrew and Urdu laid out right to left in the PDF and Word file; the copy is marked as a machine translation and your original stays
- Every edit saves automatically; an unsaved new CV is kept as a draft
How you set it up
You add your first record — for example “Backend developer · match 74%” — and the app does the arithmetic: running totals, the period summary and the report you can hand over. Nothing is fetched from the internet, so it works with no signal.
Who it is for
Job seekers applying to several roles who cannot rewrite a CV per posting.

What it does not do
- It gives no professional advice and makes no decision for you — it shows you your own numbers.
- It asks for no account. No sign-up, no password.
- The developer collects no personal data: no analytics, no crash reporting, no server. The email address and phone number you type leave the phone only inside a PDF or Word file you choose to share. Google's ad SDK collects IP, interactions, diagnostics and device IDs.
- The free tier shows Google AdMob ads: a bottom banner, rewarded ads you start yourself and an “Ad”-labelled card inside the list; no full-screen ads between pages or on launch. Paid members see no ads and no ad request is made.

0.9.0 (2026-10-02)
- Four PDF designs: Classic, Modern, Compact and Serif. Each is one column of real, selectable text that applicant tracking systems can read; the preview shows your pick and the app remembers it.
- Write your own cover letter for each application and save it as a PDF in the same design. The app adds no words to it, and the text stays on your phone.
0.8.0 (2026-10-01)
- Import your resume from a PDF: the text is read on your phone by Android's own PDF reader and placed in the box for you to check before saving.
- A page with no text (usually a scan) is named, and every import reminds you that text inside a picture is not read. Nothing is uploaded and no copy of the file is kept.
- PDF import needs Android 15, or Android 12 to 14 with a recent Google Play system update; on older versions, paste the text.
0.7.0 (2026-09-27)
- Results of your actions (saved, added, limit reached) now always appear above the ad strip.
- The reminder switch now needs the number of days first, and saving always confirms.
- A late-loading ad card no longer shifts the screen (no accidental taps).
- Updated the ads library.
0.6.0 (2026-09-24)
- Changing the language no longer sends you back to the first tab.
- With a paid membership, the ad-consent check and ads SDK no longer start at launch.
0.5.0 (2026-09-23)
- Fixed a crash that could happen when the ad component ran short of memory: no new full-screen ad is loaded while memory is low.
0.4.0 (2026-09-19)
- Rebuilt on the latest Android version and libraries, including a newer version of a component Google Play flagged as outdated.
- Stability improvements.
Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | So the ad library can see the connection state. Your entries do not use the network. |
INTERNET | For ads ONLY. Your entries never leave the device and the app has no server of its own. |
POST_NOTIFICATIONS | To remind you about the dates and reminders you set yourself. |
READ_BASIC_PHONE_STATE | So the ads library can tell Wi-Fi from mobile data. It grants no access to your phone number, IMEI or call log; the app does not declare it, the ads library adds it. |
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED | So your reminders keep working after the phone restarts. |
VIBRATE | To vibrate when a notification arrives. |
WAKE_LOCK | So the phone does not fall asleep in the middle of a check. The app does not ask for this itself; the background work library (Android Jetpack WorkManager) adds it. |
BILLING | So you can buy a paid membership through Google Play. The app does not declare this permission itself; the Google Play Billing library adds it. Your payment details (card, address, invoice) never reach the app and are never seen or stored by it — Google Play takes the payment. All the app learns is whether your membership is active. |
AD_ID | Ads in the free tier are served by Google AdMob, which may read the device advertising ID (AAID). The app does not declare this permission itself; the ads library adds it. Paid members make no ad request at all. You can reset or delete the ID in Settings › Google › Ads. |
