CV Tailor: Resume Job Match — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026 · Package: com.ibrahimtxy.cvuyarla · Developer: bulbildir

In short: the developer receives no personal data, this app does not ask you to create an account and sends nothing to any server of ours — we do not operate one. Everything you enter stays on your phone unless you share it yourself: the optional email address and phone number fields leave the phone only inside a PDF or Word file you choose to send (§2). The free tier shows Google AdMob ads (every format is listed in §5); the Google Mobile Ads SDK that serves them collects and shares with Google the IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information and device identifiers, including the advertising ID (§5). Paid members see no ads and no ad request is made at all. The developer uses no analytics and no crash reporting. Google ML Kit, which reads the job ad in a screenshot you pick and translates a copy of your resume when you ask, works on this phone and sends Google its own diagnostic and usage data (§4).
Important: The match score is this app's OWN estimate, not a score from any employer or applicant tracking system, and it does not predict an interview. Never let it state a qualification you do not have: a CV is your declaration and you are responsible for it.

1. What the app does

CV Tailor: Resume Job Match keeps the records you enter and works them out for you. An example entry: Backend developer · match 74%.

The app reads nothing from the internet: it contacts no source, looks nothing up and has no account to sign in to. Every figure it shows is computed on this phone from what you typed.

2. Data we collect

The developer collects none. We run no server and receive nothing from your device — not your records, not your device identifier, not your usage, not crash reports.

What you share yourself. The email address and phone number fields are optional. What you type there is stored on this phone and printed on the PDF and Word files the app produces and kept in a backup file you make; it leaves the phone only when you share, save or print such a file yourself, through the app, folder or printer you pick. Because the document can leave the device, the Google Play Data safety section lists Email address and Phone number as data collected optionally, for app functionality. It is never sent to the developer and never shared with the advertising network.

There are two exceptions, and the developer processes neither: in the free tier Google serves the ads and may use your device's advertising ID (AAID) and IP address (§5), and Google ML Kit sends Google its own diagnostic data with an identifier for this installation (§4).

3. What is stored on your device

The records you enter, the settings you choose and the reminders you set, with the time each reminder last went off so that it is not sent twice. All of it lives in the app's private storage and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

4. Servers the app talks to

For its own work, none. The app contacts no source server: there is nothing to fetch. Apart from the advertising and purchase traffic described in §5 and §6 (the free tier is the only tier that makes the first of those), the only other traffic comes from Google ML Kit, the Google library that reads the job ad in a screenshot you pick and translates a copy of your resume when you ask; that work itself is done on this phone.

According to Google, ML Kit collects device and app information (such as the phone model, the Android version and the app version), an identifier for this installation that Google says is not intended to identify a user or a device, performance metrics, settings, input and output sizes, event types and error codes, and sends them to Google over HTTPS for diagnostics and usage analytics; Google does not share them with third parties. That list does not include your pictures, your text or your records. Translation also downloads each language model from Google once, and ML Kit asks Google's Firebase service for its configuration. Google describes it at https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/android-data-disclosure. The Google Play Data safety section lists that identifier as collected for analytics.

5. Advertising

This section applies to version 0.1.0 and later. Earlier versions show no ads, contain no advertising library and read no advertising ID.

The free tier shows ads. They are served by Google AdMob; the developer does not choose what is shown and has no direct relationship with advertisers. The formats used are:

Interstitial, rewarded interstitial and app open ads are no longer used; versions of the app released before 28 October 2026 also showed these formats.

The developer adds no analytics (Firebase Analytics and the like), no crash reporting (Crashlytics and the like) and no marketing tracker. How you use the app is never reported to the developer. The diagnostic and usage data Google ML Kit sends (§4) goes to Google, not to the developer.

6. Permissions

PermissionWhy
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATESo the ad library can see the connection state. Your entries do not use the network.
INTERNETFor ads ONLY. Your entries never leave the device and the app has no server of its own.
POST_NOTIFICATIONSTo remind you about the dates and reminders you set yourself.
READ_BASIC_PHONE_STATESo the ads library can tell Wi-Fi from mobile data. It grants no access to your phone number, IMEI or call log; the app does not declare it, the ads library adds it.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETEDSo your reminders keep working after the phone restarts.
VIBRATETo vibrate when a notification arrives.
WAKE_LOCKSo the phone does not fall asleep in the middle of a check. The app does not ask for this itself; the background work library (Android Jetpack WorkManager) adds it.
BILLINGSo you can buy a paid membership through Google Play. The app does not declare this permission itself; the Google Play Billing library adds it. Your payment details (card, address, invoice) never reach the app and are never seen or stored by it — Google Play takes the payment. All the app learns is whether your membership is active.
AD_IDAds in the free tier are served by Google AdMob, which may read the device advertising ID (AAID). The app does not declare this permission itself; the ads library adds it. Paid members make no ad request at all. You can reset or delete the ID in Settings › Google › Ads.

7. Payment and membership

If you buy a paid membership, the payment is handled by Google Play. Your card details are never entered into the app and are never seen by the developer.

Monthly and yearly memberships renew automatically; Google Play charges your account at the start of each period. The lifetime membership is a one-off purchase and does not renew. You can cancel a subscription at any time in Google Play Store › Menu › Subscriptions; cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are also handled by Google Play — the developer has no access to the payment.

The app has no server of its own. Whether your membership is active is read again every time the app asks Google Play (when you open the app and when you view the membership screen). That is why a cancellation or refund closes the membership the next time you open the app. If you changed device, Restore purchases on the membership screen brings back a purchase made with the same Google account.

8. Children

The app is not directed to children. The developer collects no data from anyone; the advertising data described in §5 is processed by Google.

9. Keeping and deleting your data

Everything the app stores stays on your device; there is no account and no server copy. Clearing the app’s storage, or uninstalling the app, deletes everything it has ever kept — nothing survives elsewhere, so there is no separate deletion request to make. A paid membership is held by Google Play, not by the app: it survives reinstalling and can be brought back with Restore purchases.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.

12. This app in detail

The sections above apply to every app by this developer. What follows is written for this app only and describes exactly what it records, what it never records and what it will not claim.

SUMMARY
You paste your resume (or import its text from a PDF you already have, or build it
with a form), you paste a job posting, and the app reorders YOUR OWN lines so the ones
that match the posting come first, gives you a match score and writes a PDF or a Word
file you can send. All of that happens on this phone. Nothing you paste or import is
uploaded, there is no account and no sign-in, and the app works with the network
switched off. The one download a feature makes is Google's language model for
TRANSLATION, and only after you confirm it; your text is never sent anywhere.

THE MATCH SCORE IS OURS, NOT AN EMPLOYER'S
This is the most important sentence in this document. The match score is computed on
your phone by this app's own rule, which is written in the app's own source and shown
to you broken down into its parts. It is NOT A SCORE FROM AN EMPLOYER'S SYSTEM. No
employer sees it, no applicant tracking system was contacted to produce it, and
nobody can know what a particular employer's software would say about the same
document — every employer uses a different product and none of them publish their
rule. Treat the number as a checklist of your own, not as a verdict.

IT NEVER WRITES ANYTHING FOR YOU
The app adds no word to your resume and removes none. All it does is reorder: within
each section, the bullets that carry the posting's terms move to the front, and a
comma-separated skills line is re-sorted the same way. Your job entries stay in the
order you wrote them, because changing the chronology of a resume would make it
unreadable and suspicious. If a term the posting asks for is missing from your
resume, the app SHOWS YOU that term and stops there: writing a skill you do not have
into your own resume is a claim only you can make, and software that made it for you
would be writing a lie in your name. The app checks itself on this: if the reordered
text ever came out with even one fragment added or lost, it hands back your original
text unchanged.
Three features help you without writing for you. The completeness count says which of
nine usual parts it finds in your text (contact details, a summary, experience,
education, skills, dates on your jobs, a result shown with a number, plain lines and a
usual length); it is a count, not a quality score. The bullet check marks bullets that
open with a duty instead of an action, lean on a generic phrase or show no number, and
says why; it does not rewrite a line. The writing guide is general advice and explains
how the app reads your text; it is not career advice. Two features do put text in front
of you, and both are separate and marked: a SAMPLE resume you choose to start from is
invented from start to finish (example.com addresses, 555 phone numbers, made-up
companies) and the screen says so until you replace it, and a MACHINE TRANSLATION is a
new copy you ask for (see TRANSLATION).
A resume BUILT WITH THE FORM is made only from what you type into it (see RESUMES BUILT
WITH THE FORM): the template you pick gives section names and their order and no sentence
and no sample value.

YOU CAN EDIT THE TAILORED TEXT BEFORE YOU USE IT
The tailored version is shown read-only until you choose Edit before use. Your edit is
kept on this phone as a separate text: the tailored original is kept too, and Restore
the tailored text brings it back. Once you have edited it, the screen says so, and the
PDF, the Word file, the printout, sharing and copying all use your edited text — the
words in it are then yours, not the app's.

NOTHING LEAVES THIS PHONE
Your resumes (including text imported from a PDF), the job postings you paste or read
from a screenshot, the tailored text and your edits of it, the match scores, the cover
letters you write, the status you set for each application and the day you set it, the
PDF design, color, font and size you chose, which resumes are machine-translated
copies, an unsaved draft of a new resume, the details and the photo you enter for
resumes built with the form, your reminder settings and five usage counters are stored
only on this phone, in this app's own storage. They
are never uploaded and there is no server to upload them to. Automatic cloud backup
is switched off (allowBackup=false); a backup is written only when you ask for one,
to a file you choose yourself. Every PDF or Word file, resume or cover letter, is
written directly to the file you pick — the app keeps no second copy of it and
declares no file provider through which another app could reach one. Sharing hands
that same file, read-only, or the plain text to the one app you pick on Android's
share screen; printing hands the document to Android's print service. The app sends
nothing by itself. Deleting a resume deletes its text AND every application made from
it, cover letters included, so the text cannot survive inside an old tailored copy.
Uninstalling the app removes everything.

CHANGES SAVE AUTOMATICALLY
Edits to a resume, a cover letter and your edited tailored text are saved on this
phone a moment after you stop typing, and again when you leave the screen. A new
resume you have not saved yet is kept as a draft and put back in the form the next
time you open it. An empty text is never saved over your last one.

RESUMES BUILT WITH THE FORM
Build with a form starts a resume, a portfolio or a marriage biodata from empty
sections; each template gives only section names and their order. You type your
details (name, email, phone, city, links) once, and every document you build with the
form uses them: change them in one and all of them change. Sections print in the order
you set, an empty section is left out, and the app turns the form into ordinary resume
text on this phone — the matching, the checks, the PDF and the Word file read that
text. Edit as plain text turns a form resume back into ordinary text; the text stays.

YOUR PHOTO
Add a photo opens Android's photo picker, which gives the app only the one picture you
choose, so no storage or photo permission is needed. The picture is cropped to a 4:5
portrait and made smaller on this phone, and that small copy is kept with your resumes
and goes into a backup file you make; the picture you picked is not changed or kept. It
is printed on a resume, portfolio or biodata only when you turn on Print my photo for
that document, and it is never sent anywhere. Remove photo deletes the copy.

ENGLISH ONLY, ON PURPOSE
The matching engine is English: its stop-word list, its plural rule and the section
headings it recognises are facts about English documents. If the posting or the
resume does not look like English, the app changes nothing and says so, rather than
handing you a number that means nothing. The market for this app is the United
States and Germany, and in both of them the international roles this tool is for are
advertised in English. Translation does not change this: it starts from an English
resume and makes a copy in another language, and that copy is meant to be saved,
printed or shared as it is, not tailored. A resume in Arabic, Persian, Hebrew or Urdu
is laid out right to left in its PDF, Word file and printout; its completeness count and
bullet check are switched off, because they read English resume conventions.

PDF IMPORT HAPPENS ON THIS PHONE
You can paste plain text, or import the text of a resume you already have as a PDF.
You pick the file in Android's own document picker, which gives the app that one
file and nothing else, so no storage permission is needed. Android's built-in PDF
reader extracts the text on this phone: nothing is uploaded and no network request
is made for it, and the app keeps no copy of the PDF file. The text goes into the
editable box first and NOTHING IS SAVED UNTIL YOU TAP SAVE, so you see exactly what
went in. An importer understands columns, tables and text boxes only partly, so the
app does not hide what it could not read: it names the pages that had no text
(usually scans), and every import reminds you that text inside a picture is not
read. There is no Word import.

JOB POSTINGS FROM A SCREENSHOT
Read from a screenshot opens Android's photo picker, which gives the app only the one
picture you choose, so no storage or photo permission is needed. Google ML Kit text
recognition reads the text ON THIS PHONE (the recognition model ships inside the app)
and puts it into the posting box, where you check it against the original before you
tailor; recognition can miss or misread words. The picture is not kept and not sent
anywhere. ML Kit does send Google its own technical usage data, described under
TRANSLATION; it never includes the picture or the text.

TRANSLATION
Translate a copy makes a NEW resume in another language from an English one; the
resume you started from does not change. Twenty languages are offered; four of them —
Arabic, Persian, Hebrew and Urdu — are written from right to left. The name line and
the lines with an email address, a phone number or a web address are not translated,
and the copy is marked as a machine translation. The translation is made on this phone
by Google's ML Kit on-device translation, which is part of this app. Each language
needs a one-off download of its language model from Google: the app asks first,
downloads only over Wi-Fi, and the download carries no text of yours. After that,
translation works with the network switched off and your text is not sent anywhere. ML
Kit does send Google technical data about how it is used: device and app information,
an identifier for this installation that Google says is not intended to identify a
user or a device, performance metrics, settings, input and output sizes, event types
and error codes — not the text itself. Google describes this at
https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/android-data-disclosure . Machine translation can
be wrong, especially with job titles, names and numbers: check every line before you
use the copy. A translated copy is a resume of its own: it takes a free place in your
plan when there is one, and otherwise one translated copy is kept on top of your
plan's resumes (the free plan keeps one resume plus one translated copy).

THE FOLLOW-UP REMINDER LOOKS ONLY AT YOUR OWN NOTES
The app can remind you to follow up on applications you saved earlier. That reminder
IS NOT A WATCHER: it contacts no employer, no job board and no mailbox, and there is
nothing out there for it to check. It reads the dates of the applications stored on
this phone and nothing else. It is off until you turn it on, and it stays off until
you also enter how many days after applying you want to be reminded — the app has no
default for that number, because the right gap depends on the role and the market and
an invented default would push you to write on the wrong day. The status of an
application (applied, interview, offer, rejected or withdrawn) is likewise only what
you set; the app asks no employer.

PERMISSIONS
This package requests exactly nine permissions:
  android.permission.INTERNET and android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — used for
advertising, for the Google Play purchase on the Settings screen, for a
translation language model you ask for and for the usage data Google ML Kit sends
    (see TRANSLATION).
  android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS, android.permission.VIBRATE and
android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — used only for the follow-up reminder
described above, so that it survives a restart. THE NOTIFICATION PERMISSION IS
ASKED ONLY WHEN YOU TURN THE REMINDER ON, never on first launch.
android.permission.WAKE_LOCK — added by the background work library that runs the
    reminder check.
  com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID and android.permission.READ_BASIC_PHONE_STATE
    — added by the advertising library.
com.android.vending.BILLING — added by the Google Play purchase library.
There is NO CONTACTS PERMISSION, NO LOCATION PERMISSION, no camera permission and no
storage permission: the app has no use for any of them, and an app that holds your
name, your phone number and your employment history should not also know where you
are or who is in your address book. Reading a screenshot and adding a photo use
Android's photo picker, and sharing and printing use Android's own screens, so none of
them needs a permission either.

ADVERTISING (Google AdMob)
The free version shows Google AdMob advertising, and three ad formats are used:
a bottom banner, a native ad inside the app's own content, and a rewarded video
you start yourself. There are no full-screen ads between screens or when the
app opens. AdMob may process identifiers such as the advertising ID in order
to serve ads. Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland
are shown a consent screen through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), and you
can change your choice later under Settings > Privacy. Google's privacy policy
applies to AdMob's own processing: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Your resume text and the job postings you paste are never part of an ad request and
are never sent to any advertising service.

MEMBERSHIP AND PURCHASES
A paid membership removes advertising completely. For a paid member NO AD REQUEST IS
EVEN SENT — the decision is made before the consent step, so a paying user is never
shown a consent form for advertising they will not see. Purchases are handled by
Google Play; this app never sees your card details and keeps no purchase record of
its own beyond the entitlement stored on this device. You can restore purchases from
the Settings screen.

THE DAILY LIMIT AND THE REWARDED VIDEO
The free plan includes a daily number of tailorings. Being straight about this: a
tailoring costs this app nothing to run, because it happens on your phone and no
server is involved. THE DAILY LIMIT IS NOT A COST — it is the shape of the free tier.
Watching an optional rewarded video adds more tailorings for 24 hours, and a paid
plan removes the limit, removes advertising and keeps more resumes and more saved
applications. What a paid plan does NOT do is change the result: the engine, the
score and the PDF are identical on every plan.

WHAT GOES INTO THE PDF
The PDF contains your tailored resume and nothing else (and your photo, only if you
turned it on for a resume built with the form). The match score is NOT in it,
the missing terms are NOT in it, and neither the app's name nor any "made with"
footer is in it. The same holds for the Word file and for a printout, and if you
edited the tailored text, all three contain your edited text. You can also save,
print or share a resume as it is, without tailoring. That document goes to a person
who is hiring, and what it says about you is your decision, not this app's.

PDF DESIGNS AND YOUR OWN COVER LETTER
You can choose one of four PDF designs: Classic, Modern, Compact or Serif, and on top
of it a color, a font family and a text size. They change only the look — type,
margins, color and lines — and never a word, and every choice keeps one column of
real, selectable text with no tables and no picture other than your own photo when you
turn it on, so applicant tracking systems can read it. While you edit a resume you can
open a live preview of its first page in the design you chose. For each application
you can also write your own cover letter. THE APP DOES NOT WRITE A WORD OF IT: no
date, no greeting and no signature are added. Its PDF or Word file uses the design you
chose, with your name and contact line taken from the top of your resume, and contains
your letter and nothing else.

USAGE COUNTERS
Five counters are kept on this device and shown to you under Settings: Resumes saved,
Postings submitted, Resumes tailored, Scores shown, and PDFs written. The developer
added no analytics library to this package and these numbers are never sent anywhere;
they exist so you can see how you use the app. The only usage data that leaves the phone
is what Google's AdMob collects for advertising (see ADVERTISING) and what Google's ML
Kit reports about text recognition and translation (see TRANSLATION).

WHAT THIS APP IS NOT
It does not collect job postings, does not apply for you and does not prepare you for
interviews. It does not read your mailbox, it is not a job board and it does not
promise an interview. It is not career, legal or immigration advice.

CHILDREN
This app is not directed at children; the developer collects no personal data from anyone.

YOUR RIGHTS
Because the developer receives none of your data, there is nothing for us to export or
delete on a server. Uninstalling the app removes the resumes, applications, your
details and photo, and the counters it saved. If you have a question about this
policy, write to bulbildir@mail.com.

CHANGES
If this policy changes, the updated text ships inside the app and is published at the
address shown on the Settings screen.
