Shelf Tag: Label Maker & Stock
Print the shelf labels, then count the stock with the phone you have.
com.ibrahimtxy.barkodenvanter · Tools
A small shop needs shelf labels and a stock count that matches its records. This label maker prints them on A4 PDF sheets or a label printer and counts with the phone's camera, putting a money value on every shortage and surplus.
Stock is what YOU counted: the app connects to no till or online shop, and labels come from your own data, never an outside catalogue.
What it does
- Add a product by scanning its barcode, from a gallery photo, or with a code you generate; up to 500 at once with sequential codes
- A code that cannot print in the chosen symbology is named before printing, with the right check digit
- Labels in QR, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, Codabar, GS1-128, ITF-14, PDF417 or Data Matrix on A4 or US Letter PDF sheets: 24, 40 or 65 a page, your own grid, or 15 ready-made label sheet layouts; copies per product
- Label text your way: a heading, what the large line and the line under the code show, size, bold and alignment per line; five ready-made layouts; right-to-left text starts from the right
- Label printer: one label per page through Android's print window
- Network printer: labels sent raw as ZPL, ESC/POS or CPCL to a printer on your Wi-Fi or Ethernet (port 9100), no print service app needed; ZPL darkness and speed, a connection test and a test label
- USB printer: the same ZPL, ESC/POS or CPCL labels straight over an OTG cable, after Android's permission window
- A free label layout: place the code, text, lines and frames where you want them and preview the printer's dot image; the print date, or date and time, at the bottom of a label
- Print history with one-tap reprint, and a reprint list for labels that would not scan
- Address labels for parcels, printed and never saved; a PDF or picture shared from another app prints too
- Your own label look: six colours, three typefaces, a tint and your logo; the code stays black on white
- Categories as folders and subfolders, a photo and up to five fields of your own; filter by folder or supplier
- Supplier and customer names; a reorder list by supplier from your low-stock threshold
- Margin report from cost and sale price: stock value, possible gross profit, lowest margins
- Stock count by scan, list, Google's rapid code scanner (one unit per scan, no camera permission) or a Bluetooth or USB scanner that types like a keyboard; each difference in units and in money at that day's cost
- Up to five count sessions open at once; compare two counts line by line; share a result by e-mail or chat
- A run-out forecast from your own counts, labelled as a forecast with its basis
- Stock in and out with the date and an optional supplier or customer; the stock changes at once
- Several stores or branches (two on the free plan), each with its own stock; transfer between them
- Import products from CSV or Excel; export the inventory for a spreadsheet
- Location, batch or serial number and expiry date per product; an expiring-soon list for the 7 to 90 days you choose
- Filter the list by barcode format or location; select many products to set a category or location, queue their labels or delete them
- Bundles: a product made of other products; assemble or break up, and the parts' stock follows
- Sign a count or a delivery with your finger; a shared count names the signer
- Team count: send a count as a file and merge the counts from other phones after a preview
- Scan to a computer: a page on your Wi-Fi shows the codes you scan, live, in the computer's browser and downloads them as CSV
- Link an Excel file as your live product list: changes in the file apply after you confirm, and the app writes its own changes back cell by cell
- Delete all data in one step, after a typed confirmation and an offer to back up first
How you set it up
You add your first record — for example “Shelf A · 42 items counted” — and the app does the arithmetic: running totals, the period summary and the report you can hand over. Nothing is fetched from the internet, so it works with no signal.
Who it is for
Small shops, workshops and storerooms that count stock by hand today.
What it does not do
- It gives no professional advice and makes no decision for you — it shows you your own numbers.
- It asks for no account. No sign-up, no password.
- The developer receives no personal data and runs no server. A name, address or phone number you type on an address label is never saved and leaves the phone only on that label. Google's ad SDK collects IP, interactions, diagnostics and device IDs.
- The free tier shows Google AdMob ads: a bottom banner, rewarded ads you start yourself and an “Ad”-labelled card inside the list; no full-screen ads between pages or on launch. Paid members see no ads and no ad request is made.
Version history
0.15.0 (2026-10-28)
- Simpler ads: no full-screen ads between pages or when the app opens; only the bottom banner, the “Ad”-labelled card and rewarded ads you start yourself remain.
- If a rewarded ad can't load, the reward is given without an ad once every 7 days; after that the screen says so plainly.
0.14.0 (2026-10-25)
- New: EAN-8, UPC-E, Code 39, Codabar and Data Matrix; CPCL and USB (OTG) printers; a free label layout and a print date on labels.
- Location, batch and expiry per product with an expiring-soon list; filter by code format or location; bulk edit; bundles.
- Counts: signatures, team files to merge and scans live on a computer over Wi-Fi. Link an Excel file as your live product list; delete all data in Settings.
0.13.0 (2026-10-20)
- New label options: US Letter paper, your own grid and 15 ready-made label sheets; copies per product; heading, line size, bold and alignment; print history with reprint; address labels; print a PDF or picture shared from another app; ZPL darkness/speed and a printer test.
- Counting: keyboard-mode Bluetooth/USB scanners, several open sessions, compare two counts, share a result. Products: folders, bulk add with sequential codes, a code check and a run-out forecast.
0.12.0 (2026-10-15)
- Your membership is now checked with Google Play every time you open the app, so ad-free use starts or ends without opening Settings.
- Membership plans that are not on sale in Google Play are no longer offered.
0.11.0 (2026-10-09)
- New: send labels straight to a ZPL or ESC/POS printer on your Wi-Fi or Ethernet (raw, port 9100); only local network addresses are accepted.
- Tap a locked feature's note for an optional rewarded ad that unlocks it; skip it and the lock stays.
0.10.0 (2026-10-06)
- Usage card in Settings: the ratio line now says what it measures (labels produced per product added) and shows the percentage in your language's format (50% in English); it was wrongly called 'share of lines counted by scanning'.
- The in-app privacy policy now lists the diagnostic data that Google ML Kit, the barcode reader, sends to Google.
0.9.0 (2026-10-02)
- Several stores or branches (two on the free plan): each keeps its own products, stock, counts and settings; move stock between them.
- Stock in and out with the date and an optional supplier or customer name; undo the last movement.
- Label printer: one label per page through Android's print window, in black and white, at your roll size.
- Fixed: applying a finished count could leave the stock unchanged and show no message.
0.8.0 (2026-10-01)
- New: product photos, categories, up to five custom fields, supplier and customer names.
- Labels in UPC-A, ITF-14, GS1-128 and PDF417, with your own colour, typeface and logo.
- Margin report from cost and sale price; count differences are also shown in money.
- Rapid count with Google's code scanner; import products from a CSV or Excel file.
- Fixed: reading a barcode from a gallery photo.
- No new ad is requested while one is still loading; less data used.
0.7.0 (2026-09-27)
- Results of your actions (saved, added, limit reached) now always appear above the ad strip.
- A late-loading ad card no longer shifts the screen (no accidental taps).
- Updated the ads library.
0.6.0 (2026-09-24)
- Changing the language no longer sends you back to the first tab.
- With a paid membership, the ad-consent check and ads SDK no longer start at launch.
0.5.0 (2026-09-23)
- Fixed a crash that could happen when the ad component ran short of memory: no new full-screen ad is loaded while memory is low.
0.4.0 (2026-09-19)
- Rebuilt on the latest Android version and libraries, including a newer version of a component Google Play flagged as outdated.
- Stability improvements.
Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | So the ad library can see the connection state. Sending labels to a network printer does not use it. |
INTERNET | For ads, the ad consent form and Google ML Kit diagnostics, and to send the labels you choose to a printer on your LOCAL network. Your entries go to no server; the app has no server of its own. |
POST_NOTIFICATIONS | To remind you about the dates and reminders you set yourself. |
READ_BASIC_PHONE_STATE | So the ads library can tell Wi-Fi from mobile data. It grants no access to your phone number, IMEI or call log; the app does not declare it, the ads library adds it. |
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED | So your reminders keep working after the phone restarts. |
VIBRATE | To vibrate when a notification arrives. |
WAKE_LOCK | So the phone does not fall asleep in the middle of a check. The app does not ask for this itself; the background work library (Android Jetpack WorkManager) adds it. |
BILLING | So you can buy a paid membership through Google Play. The app does not declare this permission itself; the Google Play Billing library adds it. Your payment details (card, address, invoice) never reach the app and are never seen or stored by it — Google Play takes the payment. All the app learns is whether your membership is active. |
AD_ID | Ads in the free tier are served by Google AdMob, which may read the device advertising ID (AAID). The app does not declare this permission itself; the ads library adds it. Paid members make no ad request at all. You can reset or delete the ID in Settings › Google › Ads. |
