Shelf Tag: Label Maker & Stock — Privacy Policy

1. What the app does
Shelf Tag: Label Maker & Stock keeps the records you enter and works them out for you. An example entry: Shelf A · 42 items counted.
The app reads nothing from the internet: it contacts no source, looks nothing up and has no account to sign in to. Every figure it shows is computed on this phone from what you typed.
2. Data we collect
The developer collects none. We run no server and receive nothing from your device — not your records, not your device identifier, not your usage, not crash reports.
There are two exceptions, and the developer processes neither: in the free tier Google serves the ads and may use your device's advertising ID (AAID) and IP address (§5), and Google ML Kit sends Google its own diagnostic data with an identifier for this installation (§4).
3. What is stored on your device
The records you enter, the settings you choose and the reminders you set, with the time each reminder last went off so that it is not sent twice. All of it lives in the app's private storage and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
4. Servers the app talks to
For its own work, none. The app contacts no source server: there is nothing to fetch. Apart from the advertising and purchase traffic described in §5 and §6 (the free tier is the only tier that makes the first of those), the only other traffic comes from Google ML Kit, the Google library that reads the barcodes in a picture you pick; that work itself is done on this phone.
According to Google, ML Kit collects device and app information (such as the phone model, the Android version and the app version), an identifier for this installation that Google says is not intended to identify a user or a device (for the code scanner, which runs in Google Play services, also a device identifier), performance metrics, settings, input and output sizes, event types and error codes, and sends them to Google over HTTPS for diagnostics and usage analytics; Google does not share them with third parties. That list does not include your pictures, your text or your records. The code scanner the app opens is part of Google Play services and is covered by the same Google page. Google describes it at https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/android-data-disclosure. The Google Play Data safety section lists that identifier as collected for analytics.
5. Advertising
This section applies to version 0.1.0 and later. Earlier versions show no ads, contain no advertising library and read no advertising ID.
The free tier shows ads. They are served by Google AdMob; the developer does not choose what is shown and has no direct relationship with advertisers. The formats used are:
- Banner — at the bottom of the screen; it never covers your content.
- Rewarded — only when you tap the offer yourself; it relaxes free-tier limits for 24 hours.
- Native — a card inside the app's own screens, always marked with an “Ad” label.
Interstitial, rewarded interstitial and app open ads are no longer used; versions of the app released before 28 October 2026 also showed these formats.
- Paid members see no ads and no ad request is made — nothing leaves the device for AdMob, and no consent form is shown.
- To select, serve and measure ads, Google may use your device's advertising ID (AAID) and IP address. The developer never reads or stores that identifier; Google is the party that processes it.
- You can reset or delete the advertising ID in Settings › Google › Ads. The app keeps working if you do.
- In the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, Google's certified consent form is shown before the first ad loads. You can change your choice later from the Privacy options link inside the app.
- How Google processes this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
The developer adds no analytics (Firebase Analytics and the like), no crash reporting (Crashlytics and the like) and no marketing tracker. How you use the app is never reported to the developer. The diagnostic and usage data Google ML Kit sends (§4) goes to Google, not to the developer.
6. Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | So the ad library can see the connection state. Sending labels to a network printer does not use it. |
INTERNET | For ads, the ad consent form and Google ML Kit diagnostics, and to send the labels you choose to a printer on your LOCAL network. Your entries go to no server; the app has no server of its own. |
POST_NOTIFICATIONS | To remind you about the dates and reminders you set yourself. |
READ_BASIC_PHONE_STATE | So the ads library can tell Wi-Fi from mobile data. It grants no access to your phone number, IMEI or call log; the app does not declare it, the ads library adds it. |
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED | So your reminders keep working after the phone restarts. |
VIBRATE | To vibrate when a notification arrives. |
WAKE_LOCK | So the phone does not fall asleep in the middle of a check. The app does not ask for this itself; the background work library (Android Jetpack WorkManager) adds it. |
BILLING | So you can buy a paid membership through Google Play. The app does not declare this permission itself; the Google Play Billing library adds it. Your payment details (card, address, invoice) never reach the app and are never seen or stored by it — Google Play takes the payment. All the app learns is whether your membership is active. |
AD_ID | Ads in the free tier are served by Google AdMob, which may read the device advertising ID (AAID). The app does not declare this permission itself; the ads library adds it. Paid members make no ad request at all. You can reset or delete the ID in Settings › Google › Ads. |
7. Payment and membership
If you buy a paid membership, the payment is handled by Google Play. Your card details are never entered into the app and are never seen by the developer.
Monthly and yearly memberships renew automatically; Google Play charges your account at the start of each period. The lifetime membership is a one-off purchase and does not renew. You can cancel a subscription at any time in Google Play Store › Menu › Subscriptions; cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are also handled by Google Play — the developer has no access to the payment.
The app has no server of its own. Whether your membership is active is read again every time the app asks Google Play (when you open the app and when you view the membership screen). That is why a cancellation or refund closes the membership the next time you open the app. If you changed device, Restore purchases on the membership screen brings back a purchase made with the same Google account.
8. Children
The app is not directed to children. The developer collects no data from anyone; the advertising data described in §5 is processed by Google.
9. Keeping and deleting your data
Everything the app stores stays on your device; there is no account and no server copy. Clearing the app’s storage, or uninstalling the app, deletes everything it has ever kept — nothing survives elsewhere, so there is no separate deletion request to make. A paid membership is held by Google Play, not by the app: it survives reinstalling and can be brought back with Restore purchases.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.

12. This app in detail
The sections above apply to every app by this developer. What follows is written for this app only and describes exactly what it records, what it never records and what it will not claim.
This policy is published in ENGLISH and TURKISH, because the app itself speaks both. The Turkish text begins after the line marked "TÜRKÇE" further down and says the same things. SUMMARY The developer receives none of your personal data. Everything it holds — your product names, the codes you read or mint, your cost and selling prices, your categories, your stock figures, your reorder points, the locations, batch numbers and expiry dates you type, the supplier and customer NAMES you type, the fields you define, the product photos and label logo you choose, your count sessions, your stock movements, the signatures you draw, your stores and the counters of your own usage — is stored ONLY on your device. There is no account and no sign-in. This app makes no network connection in order to mint a code, to draw a label, to produce the label sheet, to decode a scanned code, to record a count or a stock movement, or to switch store. The connections the app itself opens for your data are the ones YOU start on your local network: labels sent to a network printer, and the Wi-Fi page that shows your scans to a computer on the same network (see SENDING LABELS TO A NETWORK PRINTER and SCANNING TO A COMPUTER OVER WI-FI below). YOUR PRODUCT LIST AND YOUR PRICES ARE COMMERCIAL DATA, AND THEY REACH NO SERVER What a small business stocks and what it paid for each line is commercial data: it is exactly the information a competitor would want and exactly the information a shopkeeper would not publish. We treat it accordingly. NOTHING LEAVES THIS PHONE FOR A SERVER: code generation runs entirely on this device with an encoder that ships inside the app, code reading runs entirely on this device with a scanner that ships inside the app, the label sheet is drawn on this device and written straight into a PDF file, and every count and every stock movement is plain local arithmetic. There is no product lookup service, no price service and no "sync my shop" path, because there is no server of ours to sync with — several stores in this app are several records on this phone, not a shop synced through anyone's server. Automatic cloud backup is disabled (allowBackup=false), so the operating system does not copy this data to a cloud account either. A backup is made only when you choose to write one, to a file you select yourself. The only way label content leaves the phone is a label you send yourself to a network printer, described below. PRINTING TO A LABEL PRINTER GOES THROUGH ANDROID'S PRINT SYSTEM When you choose "Label printer" and tap Print, the app draws the labels you selected, one label per page, and hands that document to Android's print system. You then pick a printer in the system print window; the print service that serves that printer — usually your printer maker's print service app, which you install yourself — receives the document and connects to the printer over USB, Bluetooth or your network. On this path the app does not connect to the printer, needs no Bluetooth permission and sends nothing over the network to print: the only recipient of the labels is the print service you chose, at the moment you print. SENDING LABELS TO A NETWORK PRINTER (ZPL, ESC/POS OR CPCL) When you choose "Network printer (ZPL/ESC/POS)" and tap Send, the app draws each selected label on the phone as a black-and-white dot image and sends it, in the printer language you picked (ZPL, ESC/POS or CPCL), straight to the printer address and port you typed (usually 9100). This is the only time label content — the product name, the code, the price and the shop name printed on the label — leaves the phone, and it goes only to that address, only when you tap Send. The app accepts only addresses on your local network (private, link-local and this device's own addresses): if the address you type, or any address a name resolves to, lies outside your local network, the app refuses and connects to nothing, so labels cannot be sent across the internet. The connection is plain TCP and is NOT encrypted, because a printer's raw printing port does not support encryption; a device able to watch your local network could read the labels on their way to the printer. The app saves the printer address, port, language and resolution with your other settings on this phone, reads nothing back from the printer and cannot see whether a label was printed. No print service app and no Bluetooth permission are involved. For a ZPL printer you may also choose a print darkness and speed; they are saved with that setting and sent as printer commands with each label. "Test the connection" opens a connection to the address you typed and sends nothing. "Print a test label" sends one label carrying only the printer address, port, language and resolution — no product data. SENDING LABELS TO A USB PRINTER When you choose "USB printer (OTG cable)" and tap "Send over USB", the app draws each selected label on the phone and writes it over the USB cable, in the printer language you chose (ZPL, ESC/POS or CPCL), to the printer you picked from the printers plugged into the phone. Android asks you, for each printer you connect, whether this app may use it; the app needs no permission of its own for this. No network is used, nothing is read back from the printer, and the app cannot see whether a label was printed. There is no Bluetooth printing: it would need a new permission. SCANNING TO A COMPUTER OVER WI-FI On the Count screen, "Open the Wi-Fi page" starts a small web page on this phone, so that a computer on the same Wi-Fi network can show the codes you scan, live, in its browser and download them as a CSV file; nothing is installed on the computer. The page listens only on the phone's private local-network address (for example 192.168.x.x), on port 8780 or, if that is taken, a free port, and answers only at an address that carries a random eight-character code shown on the screen; any other address gets "not found", and after 30 such requests the page closes. It shows only what you scanned or typed into that card — the code, the product name and the time — under your shop name, and it carries no JavaScript. The connection is plain HTTP and is NOT encrypted: a device able to watch the same network could see the codes. The page is open only while the card is on the screen: it closes when you tap "Close the page", when you leave the card and after 15 minutes without a visit. The list lives in the phone's memory only — up to the last 500 scans — and is not saved; it is not sent to us or to any server. ADDRESS AND SHIPPING LABELS An address label carries the recipient and sender lines you type — usually a name, an address and a phone number. The app does NOT SAVE them: they are not written to your records, your print history, your backup or a CSV, and they stay on that screen only until you clear them or leave the app. The lines leave the phone only on the label you print: as a PDF sheet that you open, share or print with the app you choose (the PDF is a temporary file in the app's private storage, deleted when you make the next address label and when the app opens again), through Android's print window to the print service you pick, or — when you tap Send — raw to your network printer on the same terms as above (local network only, not encrypted). Because these lines can leave the device, the Google Play Data safety form lists name, address and phone number as optionally collected for app functionality and not shared. PRINTING A FILE SHARED FROM ANOTHER APP When you share a PDF or a picture to this app from another app, the app copies that one file into its private temporary storage (PDF or picture only, at most 30 MB), shows it and prints it only when you ask: through Android's print window, or as dot images to your network printer. The copy is deleted when you close it and when another file is shared; nothing from it is added to your records. SHARING A COUNT RESULT "Share" on a count builds a text summary — the session's name or date, your shop name, the number of lines and differences, the value of the differences and the product names with counted and expected figures — and, when CSV export is unlocked, a CSV of that count. Android's share window then opens and the app you pick (e-mail, chat) receives it; this app sends nothing itself. The CSV is a temporary file in the app's private storage, deleted with the next share and when the app opens again. If the count was signed, the summary carries the signer's name; the signature image stays on the phone. TEAM COUNT FILES "Send this count as a team file" writes the open count into a file — the count's name, your shop name and, for each counted line, the product code, name, unit, counted quantity, whether it was scanned and when — in the app's private storage, and opens Android's share window; the app you pick (e-mail, chat, a file app) receives it, and this app sends nothing itself. The file is deleted when the app opens again. "Merge a team file" reads only the single file you pick through the system document picker, up to 4 MB and 5,000 lines; it matches lines to your products by code (by name for a product without a code), shows what matches, what is already in your count and what does not match, and changes your open count only when you tap Merge. Lines that do not match, or that use a different unit, are listed and not added. There is no server and no account in between. THE FIVE THINGS THE INTERNET PERMISSION IS FOR The internet permissions (android.permission.INTERNET, android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) are used for exactly five things: advertising, the advertising consent form, the diagnostic and usage data that the Google ML Kit barcode library in this app sends to Google (§4 lists it; Google's list does not include the codes themselves), the labels you send yourself to a printer on your local network, and the Wi-Fi page you open yourself for a computer on your local network (above). Nothing else in this app uses the network. There is no online catalogue, no crowd-sourced database, no upload of what you scanned and no telemetry of our own. If you turn the network off, every feature of this app keeps working except the three that need it by nature: sending labels to a network printer, the Wi-Fi page, and the first use of the rapid count, described below, if Google's scanner module is not yet on your phone. IN-STORE CODES ARE NOT GLOBAL, AND THE APP SAYS SO When you ask the app to mint a code for a product that has no barcode, the number is minted inside the block the GS1 General Specifications reserve for restricted circulation — the 02, 04 and 20-29 prefixes — which businesses use for their own internal numbering. That is a deliberate choice and it has a consequence you should know: such a number means something in YOUR shop only. The same number identifies a different product in the shop down the road, and it is not a number to hand to a supplier or to a marketplace. Codes read off a manufacturer's packaging are the opposite: they were issued to the maker of the product and mean the same product everywhere. The app shows which of the two a code is, on the product and in the export. THE CAMERA The app does NOT request the camera permission (android.permission.CAMERA is not in this package). When you tap to photograph a code, your phone's own camera app is opened through the standard system action and it writes the picture directly into the app's private folder, using a one-shot permission for that single file. The app never opens the camera in the background and never takes a picture without you pressing the shutter. You can also pick an existing image; that is done through the system document picker, which needs no storage permission and gives the app access to the single file you chose and nothing else. The photograph is deleted as soon as the code has been decoded — it has no value once read, and a folder full of shelf photographs is not something this app should accumulate. A PRODUCT PHOTO is different, because you take it in order to keep it: when you add a photo to a product (with the same camera action, or from the document picker), a copy reduced to at most 1024 pixels is kept in the app's private folder until you remove it or delete the product. A label logo you choose is kept the same way, reduced to at most 512 pixels. Neither is uploaded anywhere, and neither is part of the backup file. RAPID COUNT USES GOOGLE'S CODE SCANNER The rapid count opens Google's code scanner, which is part of Google Play services on your phone. Google Play services opens the camera and reads the code; this app receives only the decoded text of the code, never the camera image, and it does not request the camera permission for this either. If the scanner module is not on your phone yet, Google Play services downloads it once. Google describes the data its ML Kit components handle at https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/android-data-disclosure . If you prefer not to use it, scanning one line at a time with your own camera app keeps working. IMPORTING A FILE When you import products from a CSV or Excel file, the app reads the single file you chose through the system document picker, adds the products it contains and keeps nothing else from that file. Import only adds: a line whose code is already on your list is skipped, and no existing product is changed. A LINKED EXCEL FILE (LIVE DATABASE) In Settings you can link one .xlsx file as your product database. You pick the file through the system document picker; the app keeps lasting access to that one file (read and write, or read only if the file allows no more) and needs no storage permission. When the app comes to the front it reads the file; if the file was changed outside the app, it lists the new and changed products and changes nothing until you tap Apply (or Ignore). When you leave the app, the stock, prices and new products you changed in the app are written into that file cell by cell; formats, formulas and the other sheets stay as they are, and no row is ever deleted. To tell your changes apart from the file's, the app keeps in its private storage a copy of the file as it was at the last sync and a last good copy it can write back for you. "Unlink" gives up the access and deletes both copies. The file never goes to a server. The linked file sits behind the same door as CSV export (see the paid plan below). NO LOCATION This app requests NO location permission of any kind. Where a shelf was counted has no bearing on how many boxes are on it. Several stores are told apart by the name you give each of them, never by where the phone is. The "Location / shelf" field on a product is text you type, for example A-3-2; it is not where your phone is. THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL STOCK RECORD The figures this app keeps are YOUR OWN records. They are NOT an official stock ledger, an accounting entry, a fiscal document or a tax return. There is no tax rate, no valuation method, no depreciation rule and no legal threshold built into this app, and there never will be one that we invented: such numbers differ by country, by year and by trade, and an app that guessed them would be wrong in a way you could not see. The "money on the shelf" figure is nothing more than your own cost prices multiplied by your own counted quantities. If you need a statutory record, talk to your accountant. WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO It keeps no till and records no sale amounts: a stock movement records only a quantity in or out, its date and, if you choose, a supplier or customer NAME — never a price, a payment, a receipt or a total. It issues no invoice and calculates no VAT. It never suggests a selling price: the profit and margin it shows come only from the cost and selling prices you type. It keeps supplier and customer NAMES only — no phone number, e-mail or address — and manages no purchase order; an address you type on an address label is printed and never saved. It supports several stores on this phone, each a separate record, but not several users and no syncing between phones; several people can count the same place and merge their counts through team files they send each other. These are not oversights; they are the stated boundary of this version, and we would rather name them than let a screen imply otherwise. ADVERTISING The free version of this app shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob. Three ad formats are used: a banner at the bottom of the screen, a rewarded video you choose to watch, and a native ad rendered inside the product and count lists. There are no full-screen ads between screens or when the app opens. Google may use a device advertising identifier and, where you consent, related data to select and measure those ads; the relevant Google policy is at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads . Consent for personalised advertising in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland is collected through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), the standard consent form that appears when you first open the app. You can reopen it at any time from Settings > Privacy > Ad settings and withdraw or change your choice. If you do not consent, no personalised ad is requested. IF YOU ARE A PAID MEMBER, NO AD REQUEST IS EVEN SENT Buying any paid plan removes advertising completely. This is not a cosmetic change: for a paid member the ad code path is closed before any request is built, so no ad request is even sent, no advertising identifier is read for that purpose and the consent form is not shown at all. Purchases are handled by Google Play Billing; we never see or store a card number. Restoring a purchase on a new device is done from Settings > Membership > Restore purchases. WHAT THE PAID PLAN ACTUALLY BUYS — AND WHAT IS NEVER BEHIND THE PAYWALL The core of this app is NEVER BEHIND THE PAYWALL. Adding a product, minting a code, producing a label sheet, printing it, scanning during a count and seeing the difference between what you counted and what was on record are open on every plan, including the free one, without limit and without watching anything. They cost us nothing per use — the encoder and the scanner ship inside the app — and putting a shopkeeper's stocktake behind an ad break in the middle of a hundred lines would be a hostile thing to do. What the paid plan buys is how many products you can keep in each store, how many stores you can run, CSV export and the linked Excel file. On the free plan you can keep fifty products in each of two stores, which is the low end of the range this app is built for, and CSV export and the linked Excel file are closed. A paid plan raises or removes the product and store limits and opens CSV export and the linked Excel file. Stock movements, transfers between stores and printing to a label printer are open on every plan. A free user may also open CSV export and the linked Excel file for twenty-four hours by choosing to watch a rewarded video; that is a choice, never a requirement, and skipping it costs you nothing. WHAT IS STORED, AND WHERE Everything is kept in the app's private storage on this device: - your products: name, code, how the code was obtained, unit, stock figure, cost price, selling price, reorder point, category, the supplier you linked, the values of your own fields, the location, batch or serial number and expiry date you typed, for a bundle the products and quantities it is made of and, if you added one, a product photo; - your business details: business name, currency code, in-store code prefix, the look of your labels (colour, typeface, background and logo) and the names of your own fields, all chosen by you; - your suppliers and customers: a name and whether it is a supplier or a customer, nothing more; - your count sessions: when each was started and closed, the name you gave it, which lines were counted, what was counted, what was on record at that moment, the cost price at that moment, whether the line was scanned or typed, whether the session was written to stock, which open session your scans go to and, if you signed it, the signer's name and the signature image; - your stock movements: the product, in or out, the quantity, the moment, the supplier or customer name you linked and, for a transfer, which of your stores was the other side, whether it was part of assembling or breaking up a bundle and, if you added one, a delivery signature — the newest 2,000 per store; no price and no amount; - your stores: the name you gave each one; every store keeps its own products, counts, movements, contacts and settings, and a backup, a CSV export and a restore cover the store that is open. A store can be removed only while it holds no products, counts or movements; - your label printer setting: the label width and height in millimetres; - your network printer setting: the address and port you typed, the printer language (ZPL, ESC/POS or CPCL), the resolution in dpi and, for ZPL, the darkness and speed you chose; - your label layout: the paper (A4 or US Letter), your own grid or the ready-made sheet you picked, and the label text settings (heading, what each line shows, sizes, bold, alignment, a print date or date and time at the bottom) and, if you built one, your free label layout; - your print history: the last 50 print jobs — when, which output and symbology, which products and how many copies; no label image and no address label; - your reprint list: the products you marked for a new label; - your expiry window: how many days ahead the "Expiring soon" card looks (7, 14, 30, 60 or 90); - the signatures you drew, as small image files; an image that no count or movement uses any more is removed when the app opens, once it is an hour old; - a linked Excel file: its address and name, when it was last synced and the two copies described under A LINKED EXCEL FILE; - five usage counters (products added, labels produced, counts started, codes scanned, counts written), which are yours to read in Settings and are sent nowhere; - the label sheets you produced, as PDF files. Only the five most recent are kept; older ones are deleted automatically because they can be produced again from the same records at any time; - temporary files: a file shared into the app (deleted when you close it), an address label's PDF and a count result's CSV (both deleted with the next one and when the app opens again), and a team count file you sent (deleted when the app opens again). The codes on the Wi-Fi page are kept in memory only. Deleting a product deletes its record and removes it from any count session still open. "Delete all data" in Settings deletes the products, counts, movements, contacts, label settings, photos, signatures and generated label sheets of every store on this phone, after you type the confirmation word; your membership and ad choice stay. HISTORY IS NARROWED, NEVER DELETED: if your plan changes, the number of past counts shown on screen may go down, but nothing is removed from storage and a backup always contains all of it. NOTIFICATIONS The app can remind you that a count is due after an interval you choose, and name any product that has fallen below the reorder point you set. This reminder is off until you switch it on, and the notification permission is requested only at that moment — never at start-up. The check is entirely local; no network is used, and nothing is shown between 22:00 and 08:00. CHILDREN This app is a tool for running a small business and is not directed at children. CHANGES If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above changes with it and the new text ships with the app update. YOUR RIGHTS Because the developer receives none of your data, there is nothing for us to hand over, correct or erase on your behalf: uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage from Android settings, removes everything. If you have a question about this policy, write to the contact address at the top. ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ TÜRKÇE RAF ETİKETİ — ETİKET VE SAYIM — GİZLİLİK POLİTİKASI Uygulama: Raf Etiketi — Etiket ve Sayım (com.ibrahimtxy.barkodenvanter) Son güncelleme: 2026-10-29 İletişim: bulbildir@mail.com ÖZET Geliştirici kişisel verilerinizden hiçbirini almaz. Ücretsiz sürümde reklamı sunan Google Mobile Ads SDK'sı IP adresini, uygulama etkileşimini, tanılama bilgisini ve reklam kimliği dahil cihaz tanımlayıcılarını toplar ve Google ile paylaşır (bkz. REKLAM).
