Email Tone Rewriter Keyboard
Turn the angry draft into the one you can actually send.
com.ibrahimtxy.epostaton · Productivity
The email you write while furious is rarely the one you are glad to have sent. This keyboard rewrites the draft on your phone with built-in rules; nothing is sent to a server.
Rewriting is a SUGGESTION and can change meaning; read it before you send. Suggestions read only the word you are typing, in memory; nothing you type is stored or sent.
What it does
- Six tones to rephrase the draft: professional, neutral, friendly, firm, apologetic and playful
- Fix in Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese via on-phone translation to English and back
- English keyboard: suggestions, spelling fixes, optional autocorrect and swipe typing; nothing is learned
- Up to five keyboard languages with their own layouts and a language key
- Works as a keyboard, so you can fix a message inside the app you are already in
- Each rewrite counts its changes and lists every one by name
- Spelling, grammar and punctuation check; nothing changes until you tap Apply
- Shorten wordy phrases, format plain text as an email, or copy the key sentences of a text as a summary — never invented
- 13 email templates and quick polite excuses to fill in — fixed examples, nothing generated
- Translate with the TR→EN key on your phone (Google ML Kit, about 30 MB per language, one-off)
- Themes, colours or your own photo, key height, one-handed mode, number row, emoji and a toolbar you arrange
- Password and number fields are skipped; nothing there is read
- “Already fine — nothing was changed” is a valid answer
- Daily rewrites you can extend by watching an ad; your draft is not stored
How you set it up
Turn the keyboard on once in Android settings (the app guides you) or try it in the Try it box. Press Fix for the tone, Check for spelling, TR→EN to translate; ⋯ opens Shorten, Format, Summary and Templates. Undo puts your words back.
Who it is for
Anyone who writes complaints, resignations or difficult replies at work.
What it does not do
- It does not generate emails: it reworks the text you wrote.
- It asks for no account. No sign-up, no password.
- The developer collects no personal data and adds no analytics or crash reporting. In the free version the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects IP address, app interactions, diagnostics and device IDs (see Data safety).
- The free tier shows Google AdMob ads: a bottom banner, rewarded ads you start yourself and an “Ad”-labelled card inside the list; no full-screen ads between pages or on launch. Paid members see no ads and no ad request is made.
Version history
0.9.0 (2026-10-26)
- New on the English keyboard: word suggestions, the next word and spelling fixes as you type; optional autocorrect (off by default). Nothing is learned or saved.
- Swipe typing: slide across the letters to type a word.
- Seven keyboard languages (up to five on), switched with a language key.
- Fix now works in those languages too: on-device translation to English, tone fix, translated back.
0.8.0 (2026-10-25)
- New: a Playful tone, Shorten, Format as email and a sentence-picking Summary; the spelling check now covers punctuation too.
- 13 fixed email templates and quick polite excuses to fill in.
- Make the keyboard yours: themes, colours or your own photo, key height, one-handed mode, number row, emoji and a toolbar you arrange.
- Password and number fields are skipped; nothing there is read.
0.7.0 (2026-10-13)
- Security update: the bundled protobuf library is updated to 3.25.9, which fixes CVE-2024-7254.
0.6.0 (2026-10-02)
- New: translate what you wrote with the keyboard's language key (e.g. TR→EN) or in the app. It runs on your phone (Google ML Kit); each language downloads once from Google (~30 MB, Wi-Fi by default); your text is never sent.
- New: spelling and grammar check, separate from the tone rewrite; Undo restores your text.
- Results appear above the ad strip; a late ad card no longer shifts the screen.
- Paid members: ads SDK no longer starts at launch; no full-screen ad when memory is low.
0.5.0 (2026-10-01)
- New: a spelling and grammar check, separate from the tone rewrite. Tap Check on the keyboard (press again to apply) or in the app; Undo restores your text.
- Results (saved, added, limit reached) appear above the ad strip; a late-loading ad card no longer shifts the screen.
- 'Clear' is disabled when there is nothing to clear; changing the language keeps you on the same tab.
- For paid members the ads SDK no longer starts at launch; no full-screen ad loads when memory is low.
0.4.0 (2026-09-27)
- Results of your actions (saved, added, limit reached) now always appear above the ad strip.
- 'Clear' is disabled when there is nothing to clear.
- A late-loading ad card no longer shifts the screen (no accidental taps).
- Updated the ads library.
- Changing the language keeps you on the same tab.
- With paid membership the ads SDK no longer starts at launch.
- No full-screen ad loads when memory is low (crash fix).
Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | So the ad library can see the connection state. Your entries do not use the network. |
INTERNET | For ads ONLY. Your entries never leave the device and the app has no server of its own. |
READ_BASIC_PHONE_STATE | So the ads library can tell Wi-Fi from mobile data. It grants no access to your phone number, IMEI or call log; the app does not declare it, the ads library adds it. |
WAKE_LOCK | So the phone does not fall asleep in the middle of a check. The app does not ask for this itself; the background work library (Android Jetpack WorkManager) adds it. |
BILLING | So you can buy a paid membership through Google Play. The app does not declare this permission itself; the Google Play Billing library adds it. Your payment details (card, address, invoice) never reach the app and are never seen or stored by it — Google Play takes the payment. All the app learns is whether your membership is active. |
AD_ID | Ads in the free tier are served by Google AdMob, which may read the device advertising ID (AAID). The app does not declare this permission itself; the ads library adds it. Paid members make no ad request at all. You can reset or delete the ID in Settings › Google › Ads. |
Source
This app reads NO outside data to rewrite or check your text: the rewrite and the suggestions come from tables built into the app. Besides ads, the only download is a translation language you ask for, from Google; Google ML Kit, which then translates on your phone, reports usage data to Google but never your text. Nothing you type is stored or sent.
