1. What the app does
Baby Tracker: Sleep & Feeding keeps the records you enter and works them out for you. An example entry: Fed 120 ml · 03:10.
The app reads nothing from the internet: it contacts no source, looks nothing up and has no account to sign in to. Every figure it shows is computed on this phone from what you typed.
2. Data we collect
The developer collects none. We run no server and receive nothing from your device — not your records, not your device identifier, not your usage, not crash reports.
The one exception is advertising, and the developer does not process that either: in the free tier Google serves the ads and may use your device's advertising ID (AAID) and IP address. See §5.
3. What is stored on your device
The records you enter, the settings you choose and the reminders you set, with the time each reminder last went off so that it is not sent twice. All of it lives in the app's private storage and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
4. Servers the app talks to
For its own work, none. The app contacts no source server: there is nothing to fetch. The only network traffic it makes is the advertising and purchase traffic described in §5 and §6, and the free tier is the only tier that makes the first of those.
5. Advertising
This section applies to version 0.1.0 and later. Earlier versions show no ads, contain no advertising library and read no advertising ID.
The free tier shows ads. They are served by Google AdMob; the developer does not choose what is shown and has no direct relationship with advertisers. The formats used are:
- Banner — at the bottom of the screen; it never covers your content.
- Rewarded — only when you tap the offer yourself; it relaxes free-tier limits for 24 hours.
- Native — a card inside the app's own screens, always marked with an “Ad” label.
Interstitial, rewarded interstitial and app open ads are no longer used; versions of the app released before 28 October 2026 also showed these formats.
- Paid members see no ads and no ad request is made — nothing leaves the device for AdMob, and no consent form is shown.
- To select, serve and measure ads, Google may use your device's advertising ID (AAID) and IP address. The developer never reads or stores that identifier; Google is the party that processes it.
- You can reset or delete the advertising ID in Settings › Google › Ads. The app keeps working if you do.
- In the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, Google's certified consent form is shown before the first ad loads. You can change your choice later from the Privacy options link inside the app.
- How Google processes this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
There is no analytics (Firebase Analytics and the like), no crash reporting (Crashlytics and the like) and no marketing tracker. How you use the app is never reported to the developer.
6. Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | So the ad library can see the connection state. Your entries do not use the network. |
INTERNET | For ads ONLY. Your entries never leave the device and the app has no server of its own. |
POST_NOTIFICATIONS | To remind you about the dates and reminders you set yourself. |
READ_BASIC_PHONE_STATE | So the ads library can tell Wi-Fi from mobile data. It grants no access to your phone number, IMEI or call log; the app does not declare it, the ads library adds it. |
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED | So your reminders keep working after the phone restarts. |
VIBRATE | To vibrate when a notification arrives. |
WAKE_LOCK | So the phone does not fall asleep in the middle of a check. The app does not ask for this itself; the background work library (Android Jetpack WorkManager) adds it. |
BILLING | So you can buy a paid membership through Google Play. The app does not declare this permission itself; the Google Play Billing library adds it. Your payment details (card, address, invoice) never reach the app and are never seen or stored by it — Google Play takes the payment. All the app learns is whether your membership is active. |
AD_ID | Ads in the free tier are served by Google AdMob, which may read the device advertising ID (AAID). The app does not declare this permission itself; the ads library adds it. Paid members make no ad request at all. You can reset or delete the ID in Settings › Google › Ads. |
7. Payment and membership
If you buy a paid membership, the payment is handled by Google Play. Your card details are never entered into the app and are never seen by the developer.
Monthly and yearly memberships renew automatically; Google Play charges your account at the start of each period. The lifetime membership is a one-off purchase and does not renew. You can cancel a subscription at any time in Google Play Store › Menu › Subscriptions; cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are also handled by Google Play — the developer has no access to the payment.
The app has no server of its own. Whether your membership is active is read again every time the app asks Google Play (when you open the app and when you view the membership screen). That is why a cancellation or refund closes the membership the next time you open the app. If you changed device, Restore purchases on the membership screen brings back a purchase made with the same Google account.
8. Children
The app is not directed to children. The developer collects no data from anyone; the advertising data described in §5 is processed by Google.
9. Keeping and deleting your data
Everything the app stores stays on your device; there is no account and no server copy. Clearing the app’s storage, or uninstalling the app, deletes everything it has ever kept — nothing survives elsewhere, so there is no separate deletion request to make. A paid membership is held by Google Play, not by the app: it survives reinstalling and can be brought back with Restore purchases.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.

12. This app in detail
The sections above apply to every app by this developer. What follows is written for this app only and describes exactly what it records, what it never records and what it will not claim.
SUMMARY The developer receives none of your personal data. Everything you log — the times a sleep started and ended, the times of feeds and diaper changes, the optional detail you add (breast side, bottle, solids with the food and amount, pumping; wet or dirty), any amount in millilitres, activities such as a bath, the 1 to 5 rating you give a sleep, your notes, photos you attach to a record, the milestones you write, the optional names of one or more babies, the names you add for who is logging, the milk bags in your stash, your reminder intervals, your colour and background picture and your settings — is stored ONLY on your device. There is no account and no sign-in, and no network connection is made in order to log a record, to see the daily summary, the charts, the report or the next-feed estimate, or to export your data. The app works with the phone in flight mode. WHAT IS COLLECTED, AND BY WHOM Nothing you type or tap is collected by us. We operate no server for this app, we have no database of users, and there is no way for us to see your records. The only data leaving the device is the advertising traffic described below, which is handled by Google and never contains your records. WHY THIS MATTERS HERE Sleep and feeding times describe the inside of a home: when someone is awake at night, when the household is asleep. That is why this app has no cloud backup and no sign-in. Automatic system backup is disabled (allowBackup=false); a backup is only made when you choose to write one, into a file you select yourself, on your own device or your own cloud drive if you put it there. If you type a name, it appears in reminder and running-timer notifications. If your phone is set to hide sensitive notification content on the lock screen, the lock-screen version of these notifications leaves the name out; if your phone shows all notification content there, the name is visible on the lock screen too. PHOTOS Attaching a photo to a record is optional. The photo is chosen with the system photo picker, which hands the app only the one image you pick — the app has no access to the rest of your gallery and asks for no photo or camera permission. A smaller copy is kept in the app's private storage on your device; nothing is added to your gallery and nothing is uploaded. Photos are not part of the JSON backup file. Removing the photo, deleting the record or uninstalling the app deletes the copy. A background picture for the Now tab is handled the same way: picked with the system photo picker, kept as a smaller copy in the app's private storage, not part of the JSON backup and hidden in night mode. Removing it in Settings or uninstalling the app deletes the copy. SHARING, THE REPORT AND CAREGIVER NAMES Nothing leaves the phone unless you send it. The report for your doctor is written as a PDF into a file you choose, or handed as text to Android's share menu; "Share times with your partner" hands a short text with the last and next times to the same menu. The app you pick there receives it — the developer does not. These texts contain the baby's name if you typed one. The names you add for who is logging are labels on this phone only: there is no sync between phones, and each record keeps its name in the CSV export and in the backup. PERMISSIONS The app itself requests NO dangerous permission: no microphone, no camera, no location, no contacts, no calendar, no storage access beyond the single file you pick when exporting and the single image you pick with the system photo picker. - android.permission.INTERNET and android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE are used for advertising and for the purchase check only. - android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS and android.permission.VIBRATE are used for the feed, diaper and awake-time reminders and for the optional running timer, which is silent (no sound, no vibration) and off unless you switch it on. Notification permission is requested only at the moment you switch one of these on, never at start-up. - android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED re-arms the reminders and puts a running timer back after the phone restarts. - android.permission.WAKE_LOCK is added by the background work library while a scheduled check runs. - android.permission.READ_BASIC_PHONE_STATE and com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID are added by the Google advertising SDK. - com.android.vending.BILLING is added by the Google Play Billing library and is used for the optional paid plan. THE REMINDERS CONTAIN NO MEDICAL NORM The feed, diaper and awake-time reminders use the intervals YOU type in, and your feed interval is the only yardstick for the count of gaps that ran longer than it. The app contains no feeding schedule, no sleep norm and no growth chart of its own, and it never states whether a number is normal. The charts total your own entries with no percentile or target line; the next-feed and next-sleep estimates are the middle of the gaps you logged over the last seven days, computed on the device. Milestones are a diary of what you write; the app has no age norms. Sleep ratings are your own 1 to 5 marks; the app averages them and does not interpret them, and the report adds up your entries with no norm or advice. The awake-time reminder counts only while the baby is logged as awake and never notifies while a sleep is running: nothing in this app is designed to wake a sleeping baby. There are no medication reminders. This app is a logbook. It is not a medical device and not medical advice; questions about your baby belong to your doctor, midwife or health visitor. ADVERTISING (Google AdMob) The free version shows Google AdMob advertising. Three ad formats are used: a bottom banner, a native ad inside the app's own content, and a rewarded video you start yourself. There are no full-screen ads between screens or when the app opens. AdMob may process identifiers such as the advertising ID in order to serve ads. Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent screen through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), and you can change your choice later under Settings > Privacy. Google's privacy policy applies to that processing: https://policies.google.com/privacy No ad request carries your records: the advertising SDK is never given your times, amounts, notes or the name you typed. MEMBERSHIP AND PURCHASES A one-off or subscription plan can be bought through Google Play. The paid plan removes ALL advertising — on a paid plan no ad request is made at all, not even a consent request — and it opens the full history view and CSV export. Purchases are processed by Google Play; this app never sees your card details and stores no billing information. Previous purchases can be restored from Settings > Membership > Restore purchases. Logging records, the daily summary, and JSON backup and restore work on EVERY plan, including the free one. Your data is never held behind the paywall: older records are kept and appear in every backup and export, the paid plan only shows a longer window on screen. REWARDED ADVERTISING Watching a rewarded ad unlocks CSV export for 24 hours. It does not unlock the history view, deliberately: nothing you can see on screen may disappear when a reward expires. CHILDREN The app is for parents and carers to use. It holds information about a child only to the extent that YOU enter it: times, amounts, diaper changes, foods, activities, sleep ratings, notes, milestones, photos you attach and optional first names. That information stays on the device. The app is not directed at children and asks for no age, no birth date, no weight and no health data. DATA DELETION Delete a single record (together with its photo) or a milestone from the Log tab, remove an extra baby profile in Settings, delete a milk bag, remove the background picture or a caregiver or activity name (records already logged keep that name until you delete them), or uninstall the app to remove everything it stores. There is no server-side copy for us to delete, because there is no server. CHANGES If this policy changes, the updated text ships inside the app and the date at the top changes with it.
